Michael Dash
Business Development Manager / Chef
Michael’s path to becoming an award winning chef, has been challenging and above all unique. Michael finished high school and persued his passion for business gaining a degree in Marketing and Advertising, from the Queensland University of Technology in 2007.
It was during his final year studying, he realised his desire to learn how to cook was too strong and approached close friend and Head Chef of The Continental, Beau Downs for a position as an apprentice chef, where he worked for 18 months.
Michael then decided to refine his love of food and moved to Melbourne to complete his Apprenticeship, working with some of the biggest names in the hospitality industry, including Shannon Bennett (Vue de Monde), Andrew Mcconnell (Cutler and Co), Stuart Mcveigh (No. 35) and Ian Burch (Burch and Purchese). Throughout his apprenticeship Michael achieved a number of awards, including a silver medal in the Victorian Apprentice of the Year Competition.
Michael is now redirecting both his skills and passion as a chef and his interest in business as Dalton Hospitality’s Business Development Manager.
